In a world that’s constantly battling environmental degradation and climate change, a small group with a big vision chose action over apathy. This is the story of a meaningful CSR initiative that blossomed in the heart of Sri Lanka a tree planting journey to Wilpattu National Park, uniting the youth, local communities, foreign visitors, and passionate travelers under one shared purpose: sustainability.

The mission? To plant 100 trees in the iconic Wilpattu National Park one of Sri Lanka’s oldest and most diverse ecosystems. Leading this inspiring project was none other than our CEO, whose vision and dedication were instrumental in planning and executing the initiative. With the support of a highly committed team, the route was carefully mapped, logistics streamlined, and every detail thoughtfully coordinated to ensure the success of the program.

What made this campaign truly special was the collective spirit that fueled it. An energetic and environmentally conscious youth community driven by a dream of a greener world came together to make this a reality. Young volunteers from across the country collected saplings, some sourced from their own home gardens, others purchased from local nurseries.

These plants were then carried to Wilpattu in a unique and memorable way by scooter. The adventurous and socially active Scooter Club “Yathrikayo” partnered in this journey, forming a vibrant convoy that rode across the island with purpose and passion. With every mile they traveled, they turned heads and spread a message: protecting nature is an adventure worth taking.

Upon reaching Wilpattu, the team spent the day digging, planting, and nurturing not just trees, but a legacy. Each tree planted symbolized environmental revival and a powerful act of unity, bridging generations, backgrounds, and even nations.

This initiative also received overwhelming support from international guests visiting Sri Lanka. Moved by the vision, many of them contributed funds for transportation, meals for the volunteers, and the purchase of additional saplings. Their involvement exemplifies how sustainability transcends borders and becomes a shared global mission.

Why This Matters

This project is more than just 100 trees in a forest. It’s a spark for a movement.

For the environment, each tree planted contributes to carbon sequestration, soil conservation, and the restoration of wildlife habitats — all vital for maintaining the biodiversity of Wilpattu. These trees will grow to offer shade, shelter, and life to countless species.
